A Crash Course on Careers is a 3 day course on job search strategies and career development. It’s targeted for graduating students in the Computational Sciences (Computer Science, Physics, Math, and Statistics). Topics covered include:
- How to find job openings in your field
- Accessing the Hidden Job Market
- Alumni & Employer Panels
- Résumé and Cover Letter Clinic
- One-on-One Résumé Consultations
- Mock Interview Clinic with Employer
Cost is $15 on or before May 1 or $25 after that.
The course is being put on by Career Services and the 4 Computational Sciences departments. Launched in September 2007, the MDM is a 20-month graduate program in digital media and entertainment technology. As an interdisciplinary program, our students come to us with undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, Cognitive Systems, Visual Art, Business and so on. The MDM is a terminal degree combining industry-facing curriculum, real-world projects and a four month internship.
