UBC Career Services is pleased to invite you to attend an Information Session hosted by the by Consul of Japan - JET Program on October 8th. The event will take place in IBLC Rm 261 on Oct. 8th at 4:30 pm. The Employer would like to meet any interested undergrad who wants to learn more about the popular JET program for teaching in Japan. Due to the volume of emails we manage at the Career Centre, we cannot respond to individual questions about this Employer.
However, you may want to visit their Booth at Career Days on Oct. 1 and 2 in the Student Union Building Concourse. We hope you can join us on the 8th.

On Thursday, October 9, 2008, the IEEE Student Branches of UBC, SFU and BCIT are hosting the 2nd Annual Think Engineering Networking Event. This event will be held in Renaissance Hotel Downtown Vancouver from 5:00pm to 10:30pm. Tickets are on sale in the IEEE office located at MCLD (McLeod) 223 all day tomorrow. Companies such as Broadcom, Microsoft, Business Object, PMC-Sierra and of course TELUS will be there to recruit new talents.

We would like to invite students to an information session on Blue Castle Games. Come learn about a local gaming company that has established itself successfully
in the competitive video game industry. Learn about how we developed our technology from scratch, in house, for five different platforms simultaneously. Focus will be on our online development, providing an overview of the design requirements and concerns of bringing a game online, as well as the technical design used to achieve the goal.
